Safety Inspection List for Nationals




While preparing for the 2007 National Championship events, please check the items listed below specifically. These are some items that may be checked during the events. Some may be checked during pre-race inspection and if found in violation, will prevent you from getting on the track until the item is brought up to the minimum standards of the current INEX rulebook. So, please look over your car carefully.

Inspection List

_____Seat mounted securely - Grade 5 bolts minimum
_____Seat belts - Not damaged
_____Seat belts bolted in according to manufacturer instructions
_____Helmet - SA 95, SA 2000, SA 2005 only (No "M" rated helmets)
_____Fire Suit - SFI Tag showing flame resistance or Flame Resistant on care label
_____Head & Neck restraint - Mandatory 15 & younger
_____Steering wheel quick release - Working properly
_____Firewall - Sealed as delivered by 600 Racing, Inc.
_____Ball joints - Tight in control arm - Jam nuts tight - Not bent
_____Trailing arm & upper link bolts tight - Jam nuts tight
_____Panhard rod bolts tight - Jam nuts tight
_____Fuel cell bolted in properly (Car number on cap)
_____Brakes on all four corners
_____Steering rack "stubs" tight
_____Steering arms tight
_____Spindles - No cracks
_____Sprocket adapter tight
_____Oil lines tight - Clear of driveshaft
_____Oil plug tight (Safety wire recommended)
_____Rear end housing tabs (No cracks,Installed stock as delivered by 600 Racing, Inc.)
_____Drive shaft bolts tight
_____Tires - No damage
_____Wheels - No damage
_____Lug nuts tight
_____Body mounted securely
_____Throttle cable operating smoothly
_____Fuel lines tight - No damage - No electrical wires attached to fuel lines
