BRISTOL, Tenn. - More than 150 cars were on hand for the inaugural two-day Battle at Bristol at Bristol Motor Speedway for the RACEceiver Legends, Bandolero and Thunder Cars, March 29-March 30.
Saturday
The RACEceiver Legends Car and Bandoleros raced on the apron of the track and pit road while the Thunder Car (formerly the Thunder Roadsters) raced on the big half-mile track.
In his first race as a Thunder Car competitor, Taylor Hull lead the field to victory with Kara Clarke second. Veteran Legends Car driver Al Renner was third with James Edsall and Pete Horne following.
There were so many Semi-Pro competitors, a B-main was necessary to set the lineup for the feature. Matt Maring won the B-main, and moved to the feature.

Sunday
Despite the threat of rain, more than 120 cars were back on Sunday to compete for hardware at the Battle of Bristol. Sunday's event was a Regional Qualifier for the RACEceiver Legends and a Bandolero Championship race.

Scott Hensley won the Semi-Pro B-feature and was awarded the top transfer to the feature.
