Bandolero Bandits driver Jacob Harrell has been inactive most of the year, but came back strong in the opening round, beating 2007 INEX Bandolero Bandits point champion Dillon Bassett. Tristin Adams was third with Matt Wallace and Kyle Benjamin following.
The Bandolero B-main, also known as the Beginner Bandits race, was won by Gary Gaulding.
Chad Finchum has been tough to beat in Young Guns division in the later part of 2007. He won the Bandolero Nationals in Kentucky in August and the Spooktacular at LMS in November. He cruised to victory Saturday over Dylan Pack, Tyler Lester, Matt Linker and Robert Poole.
Kendall Sellers, the 2007 Outlaws National champion, has been virtually unstoppable in the Outlaws division, and Saturday was no exception. Dawn Eagens was runner-up with Bailey Daniels, Marcus Limehouse and Nathan Rodgers rounding out the top five.
Jesse Bunnell, the 2007 King of the Ovals Thunder Roadster champ, continued his winning ways with a victory in the Roadster class. Jim Fluharty was second with Steve Carter and Ed Evans following.
Steven Ross was king of the Semi-Pros with the victory over Daniel Hemric, John Ellenburg and Jordan Penninger.
David Denham led the Masters class with a victory over Jimmy Gurley, Glenn Jamison, Jeff Turner and Gary Shannon.
Rob Hall races sporadically throughout the season, but is always a threat to win when he shows up. He topped the Pro division with Mitchell Coble in second, Steve Daniels third, Matt Stover fourth and Kyle Beattie fifth.
Dylan Presnell made the most of the Young Lions feature, beating Jimmy Heavlow for the victory.
The second round of Winter Heat rolls off Saturday, Dec. 7 with heats beginning at 12 p.m.
