Asphalt Nationals Preview & Schedule

LAS VEGAS - The 16th Annual RACEceiver Legends Car and Thunder Roadster Asphalt Nationals is less than a month away, and the 2007 edition is predicted to be the best Asphalt Nationals yet.

More than 300 cars from all over the United States and Canada are expected to attend the event at the 3/8-mile asphalt oval. A record number of entries have already been received at 600 Racing.

"I have been amazed by the overwhelming interest in this year's Asphalt Nationals," said Darrel Krentz, executive director of INEX, the international sanctioning body of the Legends Car, Bandolero and Thunder Roadsters. "We know that The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a wonderful venue for our Asphalt Nationals, and has produced some of the best national events in the history of INEX. However, I think this year's attendance will be unprecedented."

RACEceiver Legends Masters star Clay Hair will be vying for his fifth straight victory at the Asphalt Nationals. Last year's Pro champion, Casey Roderick, is expected to compete to defend his title.

The Thunder Roadster field is also expected to be one of the largest in history with more than 30 cars anticipated to compete.

Mufflers will not be required at the event. Bandoleros will also be on the racing card for Saturday.

Below is a tentative schedule of events. Times may be adjusted as racing permits.
